Never one to leave things up to chance, Porsche will deploy a charging system for its upcoming Panamera S E plug-in hybrid that the should match the vehicle's high-end cache.

Porsche will also provide a wall-mounted charging dock for customers' garages and will hook buyers up with an electrician to allow for 240-volt home charging. Also standard is a mobile-phone app that, among other things, tracks how much more time a charging vehicle has to remain docked to get a full charge, discloses real-time electric driving range, operates in-car climate control and lets the driver control recharging times in order to get the cheapest electricity (because most Porsche buyers are constantly eyeballing kilowatt-hour rates at their homes, we're sure).
Porsche unveiled the Panamera PHEV at the Shanghai Motor Show last month. The car, which will have 416 horsepower and a top speed of 168 miles per hour, will be able to go about 20 miles in all-electric mode. When the car's not being floored, of course.
